Aubrey is walking

So Aubrey has been walking full time for about a week now (Jan 16, 2013). So cute to watch her walk, she's always got this big smile on her face and she loves to carry something with her. Can't believe that she's really walking! I took her to the doctor and he told me that she was 40% for weight and height and 85% for head. The doctor says he thinks she will get to be tall like her brother so we will see. I took Logan to the doctor appointment also and he is 95% for height and weight. I can't believe my babies are growing up so fast!! It makes me a little sad that time goes by so fast and I can't remember ever single beautiful moment. I'm so lucky to have the most amazing family in the world!

Jesus wants Logan as a Sunbeam

Today January 6, 2013 was Logan's first day in Primary. I can't believe he's old enough to go to primary. Logan turned three just in time to go. I stayed at home with Aubrey because she was sick but Dad said Logan had a hard time going but enjoyed himself when he was there. He is such a good little boy, he's growing up so fast.  We are so lucky to have him as our son.

Canmore and Christmas

We went to Canmore on Friday night (December 21, 2012) and stayed in a hotel. This hotel was awesome because it had a really fun big slide. On Friday we arrived around 5:30pm and went swimming right away. Logan still gets a little scared to do knew things but he did amazing he loved the big blue slide and asked to go down again and again by the second day he asked to go by himself! It was nice to get away as a family, have fun and just enjoy each others company.

On Sunday December 23 we spent the day with Shawn's family. We picked up Lane at his Grandmas house and had dinner and played games. We got spoiled with presents and lots of yummy food.

On Monday Christmas eve we had breakfast at our place with the Rasmussen's.  It was yummy! We had French toast, sausages, hash browns and fruit. It was fun to have them over and it was nice to cook them something simple.   Around 6:00pm we went to my parents house and spent the evening with Grandma V, Papa, Steve, Ashley and Abigail. We had Chinese food and the kids did a craft. We opened pjs and read stories and went to bed. On Christmas morning the kids were excited to open their stockings and gifts. We spent most the day opening gifts and eating.

Christmas was good, I feel so lucky to have so much family close. Very soon we will need to decide what kind of traditions we want with our kids.  I would love to focus our Christmas on serving others and the birth of Jesus Christ and not so much presents, food and Santa. Its fun to do the commercial side of Christmas I just think its a little strange that the things that are really important get missed and forgotten.
